So... Reddit gained around 800k daily users in the UK, while Twitter has fallen 8% in the last year.
This feels less like a surge in popularity, and more like people fleeing Twitter and trying out all of the other options.
Having also seen what Reddit is like these days, I'd be very skeptical about how much of that traffic is just a series of bots, advertisers, and trolls on multiple alts.
This all makes sense to me. Reddit, as much as I loathe the latest changes, still has a ton of value when searching the web for things. Twitter, on the other hand, has lost practically all of its value. Any time I get linked to it, I can't see any of the replies or context. It's worthless except for the occasional standalone hot take.
What I thought was hilarious is that these two sites are competitive with... LinkedIn? That place just seems like the most worthless website to have ever existed. Nothing but self pontificating buffoons and virtue signalling of the worst kind.

following Twitter links gets me to a page with that logo "X" and nothing more when I use Firefox. LinkedInfluencers are indeed the dumb variety of bad. But I'm puzzled by "of the worst kind". In general, I thought virtue signalling was considered bad. Or have I missed something?
