If you dont belive colleges cater to the perceived wishes of their sources of money (and I'm not speaking about tuition) then quite frankly, you dont understand how colleges work. There might be a lot of "woke" on colleges at the moment, but like any large organization they are slow to react to the pendulum of popular opinion.
If you are "right wing" and want to go to a trade school because college is not for you then I support that 100%.
However, you cant then complain that colleges are liberal and dont represent you.
You are creating a self fulfilling prophecy then bitching when it comes true.
I also happen to believe that colleges are not overly political nor should they be. Sure, there are some majors that tend to attract liberals but there are others that attract conservatives. It is also the case that young people tend to be more liberal and older people more conservative so one might expect there to be a left wing bent to college.
