The gym workout app on the watch fundamentally sucks in that it cannot deal with any deviation from the planned workout. I work up to a heavy single, I don't know if that's going to take six sets or eight. I do supersets but sometimes the equipment I need is in use. And that's not considering stuff like forgetting to start or end the set.
To be fair this applies to other activities as well but running and cycling workouts are simpler and more forgiving.
