Though I haven't been through one, I'd think yes because you need the ability to identify mistakes in the code generated by LLMs. Also, you likely need the ability to stitch smaller parts together, as (for now, at least) that seems to be the most reliable way to work with generated code. I haven't yet see anyone show off a large project that was completed from a single prompt. And even then, you'd probably want the ability to make subtle changes rather than ask to have the whole thing coded from scratch trying to influence minor details.
No matter what, at least in the current environment, you'll need to be able to understand and write some degree of code. My money is on this staying true for the foreseeable future, even as systems improve.
