BTW just an interesting personal coincidence: The first sample shown in the article is a video about a rotating house in California. I watched that years ago and started out curious how they pulled it off; I ended thinking that this is the dumbest bone-headed idea and a horrible place to live in. You can not just step outside your very pricey house and enjoy your garden, the garden is one story below. You can step on your driveway. When you go to the street, there's nowhere to go as a pedestrian and no sidewalk, you need a car to move around. And making the entire house turn is just a dumb design decision with a totally unnecessary if clever solution for the pipes and the wires. Just do what revolving restaurants all over the world do: build a floating ring-shaped disk that floats on a layer of oil. You'll still have to deal with getting electricity onto the disk if you don't want to move chairs when you're watching TV.
