A lot of economics points to fundamental truths which nobody will accept. We should be treating food as fuel and ignore all considerations except nutrition. Pure grain alcohol in water with flavourings would be economically better than expensive wine. American cheese is fine. Packet ramen every day.

The thing is that more slow chargers might be better, if it was 100x more. Or even 1000x. If every single street park has a cable to the nearest light pole. If we get V2G. If we stop worrying about Chinese cheap batteries flooding the market. If we have electric buses.
But if it's just 5x as many, the authors know perfectly well that nobody will believe it. People believe we've got nirvana in fast chargers.
Because in part, people are irrational and want advantage at a price to them, and against society's better needs. Who am I to say that's irrational? Asocial maybe. So what?
Current tesla owners don't care what we think. F150 owners don't care coal burning and parking out EV bays is wrong. Fuck you: I've got mine.
